Q. Do I have to pay for BGCGG Brookhurst?

A: This program is made possible through a partnership between Garden Grove Unified School District and Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove, the program is state funded and free for parents at Brookhurst Elementary School.

Q. Do I need to submit a new application every year even though my child is already in the program?

A. Yes, every school year, we need a new registration form for the returning members.

Q. When my child is absent from school, can they still attend the BGCGG program?

A. If the child is absent from the school day, they can not attend BGCGG for that day.

Q. Do the children eat at the BGCGG program?

A. GGUSD provides us with a snack for members in the BGCGG program.

Q. How can I sign up for BGCGG at Brookhurst Elementary?

A. Multiple Ways! The office has registration forms. Or you can go to our 2020-2021 Registration tab here and fill out a registration form via jotform or save the PDF and fill it out and email it to me at brookhurst@bgcgg.org

Q. Can my other child who is 16 years old pick up my child that is in the program?

A. Sorry, but we can not release members to people under 18 years of age and only those people you add as emergency contacts can pick up the member(s) but they too, have to be older than 18 years old.

Q. Does my child have to stay the entire time of the program?

A. Members do not need to stay the entire time for programming, however we encourage members stay the full time so that they can get the full experience of programming.

Q. What happens if I am late to pick up my child from programming?

A. We understand that sometimes you might be late to pick up your member, we ask that you call us and let us know that you are running late to (714)497-7360. However, frequent late pick ups can result in a Late Pick Up Notice.

Q. What other services does BGCGG provide?

A. One goal of BGCGG is to service the whole child and family, with BGCGG we have a wide range of services like academic support, health access, case management, mental health, and family engagement.
