Approach to Providing Unbundled Legal Services
Our main reason for providing unbundled services is so that clients, who may not be able to retain the full services of a lawyer, receive as much assistance as possible. For each case, we determine what the client needs, what they can do themselves and how we can assist in delivering services to them.
Mediation

Acted as mediator in 6-10 mediations in the last 5 years
Approach to Supporting Clients in Mediation
First, we assess the client's needs. Based on those needs, we make sure that the case is ready for mediation, assist with disclosure, preparation for mediation and attendance at mediation if required. Clients can contact us at any stage, with their questions or issues.
Cultural Diversity Experience
I am originally from Iran, and most of my clients are Iranian-Canadians. I have also worked with a number of other immigrant communities, and am keenly aware that there are added hurdles to getting "access to justice" for immigrant communities. Often, language and financial resources are a barrier. But, even more importantly, Canadian family law culture is sometimes so different from the client's country of origin, that they feel totally lost in the system. And that's when we can truly assist in providing access to justice.
