Approach to Providing Unbundled Legal Services

I am an enthusiastic proponent of unbundled legal services. Not everybody needs a lawyer to assist them with all aspects of their file. I work with my clients to identify the areas where they might best benefit from my legal advice and assistance so that they can resolve their issues in the most cost-effective manner possible.

Mediation

• Has family mediation training

• Acted as counsel in more than 30 mediations in the last 5 years.

• Acted as mediator in 5 or fewer mediations in the last 5 years.

Approach to Supporting Clients in Mediation

As counsel, I assist my clients to whatever extent they desire as they attend mediation. That can mean anything from attending mediation with the client, providing the client with advice and guidance outside of mediation, drafting documents to assist in the mediation process and formalizing any agreements made in mediation in a legally-binding form. As a mediator, I assist my clients by guiding them through the difficult process of negotiation and, where required, formalizing any agreements that are reached in a legally-binding form.
