Mediation

• I completed my family mediation training for certification in April 2018 and began acting as a family mediator at that time. 

• I have mediated at least 60 mediations in the last 5 years and have attended many more as counsel

• Currently I am completing my certification in Elder Mediation and have also mediated in wills and estates 

• My mediation practice includes mediating with couples on their own over video conference as well as full day mediations in person or virtually with clients represented by counsel.    

Approach to Supporting Clients through Unbundled Services 

In addition to serving as a mediator, I assist clients through unbundled services such as:

• assistance with legal research

• negotiation/settlement coaching - both procedural advice and coaching about how to develop a settlement proposal and negotiate effectively (directly or in a mediation process)

• attending mediation or a settlement meeting with you on a limited basis

• strategic guidance about dealing with the strengths and weaknesses of your case

• offering self-help tools and resources

• procedural coaching by helping you understand steps required by legislation or court rules

• drafting of demand letters, pleadings, affidavits or other written material as a "ghost writer"

Renovate Family Law does not offer services in which we appear in court on your behalf; we only assist behind-the-scenes. However, if you have been representing  yourself and would like a lawyer to attend mediation with you, we will represent you at mediation.

Hourly. 

There are flat fee options available for certain tasks on a case by case basis.
