Approach to Providing Unbundled Legal Services

While I provide unbundled services, my main focus is on coaching. Rarely do people need only a one time service. They often need ongoing support at their disposal and within their control and budget. I have put together packages available on my website that may assist clients to develop a plan and budget for their ongoing legal services. I am flexible, however, and will tailor my services to any client's particular needs. I educate clients on where they can find answers to questions and access resources with no cost to them at all. I encourage clients to take control of their own legal matter and consult me as needed.

Mediation

  • Does not have Family Mediation Training

  • Acted as counsel in more than 30 mediations in the last 5 years

  • Does not practice family mediation as a mediator

Approach to Supporting Clients in Mediation

I encourage clients to be flexible in their view of suitable resolutions. I often explain to clients the best way to resolve any dispute is through mediation where it can be resolved quickly, maintain any ongoing relationship with a coparent, and save cost and stress. I always stress that mediation is the last venue where the client maintains control over the outcome.

Cultural Diversity Experience

I have a large number of indigenous clients. I have also worked with recent immigrants to Canada with various backgrounds and an imperfect command of the English language.
