Approach to Providing Unbundled Legal Services

My approach is to meet with the client if necessary on a limited basis, provide them with advice based on my 25 years of experience in law, most of which has been as a family law lawyer. It is a scary process for those who are unrepresented. I try to simplify the system so that an unrepresented person can feel more at ease going to court on his/her own as they know more what to expect what is usually a daunting experience.

Mediation

• Does not have family mediation training

• Acted as counsel in 11-15 mediations in the last 5 years

• Does not act as mediator

Approach to Supporting Clients in Mediation

It depends on the matter. At times a person just wants to know what can happen at mediation, what he/she should do, positions, likely results. I am willing to be available before during and after the mediation to assist as needed.
