Approach to Providing Unbundled Legal Services

I get that unbundled services are sometimes the only way that an individual can access legal services because of the cost, which can often be beyond a person's means. I believe it is important for clients who cannot afford to, or simply prefer not to, retain a lawyer for the full range of family law services, to have the opportunity to obtain services for the most important aspects of their case.

Mediation

• Has family mediation training

• Acted as counsel in 16-20 mediations in the last 5 years

• Does not act as mediator

Approach to Supporting Clients in Mediation

I believe mediation is an invaluable process in family law matters, particularly where children are involved. It is an opportunity to set the stage - or re-set the stage - for communication between the parties going forward. My approach is to try to equip my clients to make the most out of the mediation so that they can take things from there on their own.
