Approach to Providing Unbundled Legal Services:
I am compassionate, practical, and proactive because I know both time and funds are limited. I carefully assess the facts and goals of each client to determine what they would like to accomplish and what is possible within the unbundled framework. I ensure clients are kept up to date with the status of their matter and the funds that remain and we revisit the scope of the work to be done if required so everyone is clear and confident in the process.
Mediation: I have family mediation training.

Cultural Diversity Experience:
I am an immigrant (from the Balkans) and came to Canada when I was 5 without any English and no community. I know what it’s like to be isolated, lonely, scared, and new. I also know what poverty, and financial insecurity feel like and the stress that puts on parents trying to provide for their kids. I attended a community school where I was immersed in multiculturalism as my school was predominantly made up of immigrant families. I grew up in Burnaby my whole life attending various community and multicultural events supporting and encouraging diversity and engagement with other cultures. As a summer student I volunteered with Rise Women’s Legal Centre which provides unbundled legal services to low income clients who came from all walks of life and cultures. I have also obviously completed the Indigenous Cultural Competency course required by the Law Society. I am constantly learning and try to use my privilege positively.
