Approach to Providing Unbundled Legal Services

I can offer the client the services that they ask me to provide - I can be as involved as they want me to be. I will be frank and up-front about the most cost-effective ways to engage my services.

Mediation

  • Has family mediation training

  • Acted as counsel in more than 30 mediations in the last 5 years

  • Acted as mediator in 16-20 mediations in the last 5 years

Approach to Supporting Clients in Mediation

I provide resource material to clients and help to explain the best ways to stay open and engaged in mediation. Mediation is an interest-based process, so it is important to know that people will be discussing more than what they want regarding the parenting arrangements or division of assets - they will be asked to be more vulnerable at the mediation table in the interests of being able to move forward in a more engaged way. I encourage clients to look at the process as an integrative model instead of a distributive model.
