BE FRIENDS NURSING EXCELLENCE AWARD 2026.

The **Be Friends Nursing Excellence Award** is presented annually to an exceptional individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to the nursing profession and demonstrated outstanding commitment to patient care.

This prestigious award recognises nurses who provide compassionate, dedicated and professional support to patients during some of the most vulnerable and challenging moments of their lives.

Licensed and registered nurses, nursing faculty members, nursing educators and nursing students are eligible to be nominated. The award honours members of the nursing community at every stage of their professional journey—from nursing students and early-career professionals to experienced nurses whose lifelong service has made a lasting impact.

Candidates may be nominated by colleagues, patients, family members, friends, healthcare institutions or members of the public. Self-nominations may also be accepted, subject to the nomination guidelines.

All nominations will be carefully reviewed by the **Be Friends Award Judging Panel**. The panel will evaluate each nominee’s professional achievements, quality of patient care, compassion, leadership, community involvement and overall contribution to the nursing profession.

The selected recipient will be honoured during the **Be Friends Onam Celebration**, taking place on 12 September at Heslihalle, Küsnacht, Switzerland**.

Through this recognition programme, Be Friends Switzerland expresses its sincere gratitude to the nursing community—wherever they practise, whatever role they serve in and at every stage of their career.
