My name is Shannon Kyle and I specialize in family pet dog training. I have been a pediatric nurse for over 20 years and have 2 dogs, Dexter and Sadie. I adopted them when they were 6 months old, and I was the third home that they went to. The rescue had labeled them a "bonded pair" and wouldn’t separate them. At the time I thought it was adorable that they didn’t want to be away from each other. Little did I know that it was actually just a cute name for horrific separation anxiety, from each other and also from me. And so began a couple of years of searching out training options so that we could have peace at home, and be able to go anywhere and everywhere together. Unfortunately, there's a lot of misleading information out there, but I discovered training techniques that truly work. Now I want to share this with you. Check out the "Our Journey" page for more about us and our story. Also check out "Client Stories"!
Training Dogs and Coaching Owners
Basic obedience is just the beginning of building the life you dream of with your dog. Whether it's hourly sessions, or board and train, I will lay that foundation with your dog, as well as stopping unwanted behaviors, then patterning the behaviors you do want and teaching a calm state-of-mind. You can also choose to have your dog receive public access training so that they can go to coffee shops, breweries, hikes and more! I also provide puppy training so that you can get off on the right foot with your new addition to the family. I am passionate about training owners so that you are successful long after board and train!

Bringing Home Puppy Package!!!: This includes the initial consultation plus 3 hourly sessions (used within 60 days of consult) for $300 to help get your puppy acclimated to their new environment and help prevent common frustrations that come with having a new puppy. Yes, many of these things are preventable! Puppy Basics (sit/down/crate/place/potty training/leash walks) (8 weeks-4 months old), and how to prevent forming bad habits. 2 week B&T available, contact for details.
Bringing Home Rescue Package: If you adopt a dog of any age from a rescue or shelter, you will receive the initial consultation and 1 hourly session at 50% OFF (must be booked within 60 days of adoption).
Board and Train (B&T): (initial consultation required/$100 waived if you book B&T at the time of consultation) B&T programs range from 3-6 weeks for $2800-5000. Each week your dog will receive the equivalent of 15-20 individual sessions, plus the benefits of consistency and structure that will help your dog adopt the new obedience and behavior patterns, all in a comfortable home environment! If in the process of board and train, it becomes clear that your dog needs more time, I will propose this to you and you can decide on whether to add time to the B&T.
Inquire for availability. Full payment is required at the time of reservation. Cancellations done 30 days or more from the start of the reservation will receive a 40% refund; less than 30 days will not be refunded, but I will work with you to reschedule.
There will be a mid-boarding check-in session at 2 or 3 weeks (if you are local and not traveling). “Go Home” session lasts up to 2 hours and is essential in setting you up for success after B&T. You will also receive one follow up, up to 2 hours, that must be scheduled within 30 days of the completion of B&T. After 30 days, you are welcome to book additional hourly sessions if further follow up is needed. ***A negative fecal float test is required prior to board and train.***
STRUCTURED Boarding: Available after your dog has completed B&T or at least 6 hourly sessions (and is crate trained), they will be eligible for boarding. Boarding is $75 per night, and WEEKLY rate of $450 (that's 1 night FREE!!). If there are multiple dogs from the same household, the second dog is $65 per night, and a weekly rate of $390. No minimum requirement for number of nights. The benefits of structured boarding are that your dog will receive consistency in their training, and it serves as a sort of tune-up for the dog to stay on the straight and narrow. Also, they get the comfort of a home environment while you're away, instead of a facility. The same rules as B&T apply for payment, cancellations and refunds. A negative fecal float test is required prior to boarding (If you are boarding more than once every 6 months, a negative test every 6 months is sufficient as long as the dog is asymptomatic). Dropoff hours are 3-7pm, and pickup hours are 9-12 am. If you are booked the week of a major holiday, there will be an additional $50 fee per dog. Nail trims available during boarding for $15.
Wild Dog Nutrition consultation: Initial Consultation is a FREE 15 minute call, and is usually done via Zoom call. I will get some basic info from you and explain how the process works so you can decide if it's right for you. If you choose to move ahead to the full nutrition plan, then you will receive a written diet plan, as well as recommendations for supplementation, along with detailed instructions, and 2 follow ups for $350. This includes 3 separate virtual appointments: The 1st I will go over the nutrition plan with you and answer all of your questions, then the next 2 would be about 30 and 60 days after you implement the changes to see how it's going, answer questions, and tweak things as needed.
--If your dog is coming for board and train, and you are interested in transitioning to raw feeding, I can do this for you for $150 plus the cost of food. If the dog has any temporary symptoms related to transitioning (diarrhea, vomiting, lower appetite, etc.), I can work your dog through these things during board and train and save you the work and stress. The food will be charged by the pound (at cost), and how much is needed will depend on several factors, including ideal weight and activity level, which can be discussed during the consultation. You can receive a written nutrition plan and 1 follow up 30 days after going home for $100.
Military and CHCO employee discount 10% off
Referral Perks: When you refer a friend and they book a consult you will receive $15 off of your next session, 1 FREE night of boarding, or $100 off B&T.
Discounts cannot be combined at this time (referral perks are separate).
***All prices listed are for 1 dog unless otherwise noted.***
****If you are outside a 15 mile radius, there will be a trip charge of $20.****

When I started working with Charlie, she was literally dragging her owners down the street on their walks, constantly playing keep away from them in the house, jumping all over guests when they were sitting on the couch, getting UP on the kitchen counters, and even BROKE out a front window of the house trying to get to the mailman. Now they have peaceful walks, she can lay in place when company is over, and her owner is able to take her into his office and she lays in place, and is much calmer over all.
This very bouncy and active pup was dragging his owner on walks and making use of every inch of his bungee leash. After just a couple of sessions, she is able to walk him safely, and so can her young children.

I also offer nutrition consultation services.
