The History of Beyond Jitters

An open mixed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting 

Located in Minneapolis, MN

Beyond Jitters is and always has been an open mixed noon meeting, that meets everyday of the week.

1995 – ‘The Hennepin Center for the Arts Noon Meeting’ was started at the Hennepin Center for the Arts building at 5th and Hennepin.

1998 – The meeting moved to Jitters Coffee Shop, which was on 11th St. and Nicollet Ave. This is when it was renamed "Beyond Jitters."

1999 – Beyond Jitters moved to the L.A. Rockler Fur Company building near 4th and Hennepin.

2000 - Jitters moved to the new Jitters Coffee Shop on East Hennepin in Northeast Mpls. Only for a couple of months.

In the spring of 2000 - Beyond Jitters moved to Westley United Methodist Church on 1st Ave. and Grant St.

April 1, 2017 - Beyond Jitters moved to 2218 1st Ave So. An Alano Club.

In late 2022 - Beyond Jitters moved to Plymouth Congregational Church.  1919 LaSalle Ave South.

2026 - Beyond Jitters moved to Good Grocer: 2650 Nicollet Ave So.  

Beyond Jitters was originally created as a lunch hour meeting which has grown exponentially over the last thirty one years. Each day, the meeting focuses on a different subject of recovery.
