As much as I really, really love this character, there are some things about him that I had a hard time getting used to. For example that cringy way he snaps his neck when he's trying to seem intimidating. Come on, man, that's bad for your bones! Also it looked like he was trying too hard. Second, that mismatched colored yellow bang. I think I initially disliked it more because it remind me of the previous evil villain of beyblades, Doji, then because it was mismatched to his hair. But in time I got used to it as part of Silas's charatcer. Another thing I did not like, was that we never got to see Silas with his stylish glasses off. I wish he would've taken them off once in awhile since I'm more than certain they are more for fashion than function. It would have been really pleasing to get a few good, clear looks at Silas's pretty, Persian blue eyes without the specks obstructing the view all the damn time.

This was a time when Silas was wondering around, there was like a street fair going one, there where street bey matches going one and Silas was winning them all and maybe being a bit arrogant about it. Ghasem takes it upon himself to beat Silas for being better than these other bladers and the dumb ass goes in with his deceased dad's old beyblade which is obviously old, cracked and no longer suitable for bey battle. So its no surprise that Silas not only beats him, but his precious bey breaks in the process, and the idiot vows revenge on Silas and even joins a bey club to meet him in the tournament matches where he looses to Silas there too. So Ghasem doesn't treat his father's bey like a keep sake, even though it's obviously at the point where its ready to break and thats all Silas's fault? Ghasem is obviously all muscle and no brain because what dumb ass goes into a sport with already busted and battered equipment thats ready to break appart? If he had just treat his dad's beyblade like a precious keepsake, like he should have, it wouldn't have broke during that match. Yeah, Silas was being obnoxious about his wins, but he was still winning fair and square--Ghasem is the one who had to throw his huge bird-beak nose in Silas direction. Silas had little regards for him for losing since so many people lose against him but he gradually gains some respect for Ghasem during the European League, when he actually manages to win one match but still ultimately loses to Silas, which I am glad for that because I dont think its fair to keep blaming Silas for a stupid decision that he made that ended up breaking his dad's beyblade.
