FROM THE EAST (June 2019)
With the "unofficial" start of summer upon us, I hope you took a moment to reflect on Memorial Day on those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. While more often than not we mark the occasion as the gateway to summer with family, friends, and BBQs, it takes only a moment to also mark the occasion by considering and remembering those whose lives were sacrificed, and hope for a future where that blood may need not be further shed.
As Masons we seek to better ourselves as Men, and by extension we will better the world and lives of those around us. This brings hope that as we spread Light, so we can continue to improve our world and that fewer lives would need to be sacrificed in defending and protecting us.
As "high twelve" approaches at the middle of the Masonic Year and we prepare to call the Lodge from labor to refreshment for the summer break, I invite you to stay connected to your Brothers though we may be apart through the summer. Remember your Brothers who may need a prayer or your assistance, and remember your Brothers simply to enjoy each others company!
Sincerely & Fraternally,
Christian Stebbins, Worshipful Master
