We do not compete with online stores. They order and carry pallets of items that they sell at discount prices and charge for shipping for those products. We DO sell in a small brick and mortar storefront, at fair prices, with set hours, and we provide the assistance that you cannot get online.
You can't ferment without the correct hardware. We carry carboys, pails, air locks, tubing, and more for almost all types of fermenting - beverages to foods.
Likewise, you need storage containers to hold and serve your beverages. The store carries bottles, corks, flip-tops, and caps for many of the most popular containers. We carry a small supply of glass carboys, but encourage fermentors to use PET vessels as they are not the volatile plastics of yesteryear.
We carry a variety of pre-packaged brewing and distilling grains. Many of these are in 1, 10, and 50/55 pound bags. Customers may use our small mill to crush the whole grains they purchase in the store, but are encouraged to use their own mills to be able to adjust to a desired crush size - we do not allow adjustment of our mill, or to mill grains not purchased in our store.
We only carry DRY yeast for beer, wine, mead, and distilling. There are many more varieties of dry yeast than when you or your parents started fermenting. Additionally, dry yeast can be stored for longer periods - like years, unlike liquid yeasts - if the dry yeast is kept cold and dry.
Hop varieties are numerous, with new varieties being added every year. Beverage Artisan carries the varieties that are most requested in our area for brewing. Other varieties and larger quantities are sometimes available for order.
