Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 329!
Boy Scout Troop 329 is located in Bethlehem, PA and is chartered by Trinity United Church of Christ. Our goal is to have fun while teaching Scouting skills.
We are a true boy led troop. The scouts determine the troop program and carry it out. In order to do this, boy leaders meet once a month to plan out the following four weeks of meetings. Scouts learn essential outdoor, first aid, and life skills.
We utilize the "patrol method" during meetings, when on outings and at summer camp. Older scouts mentor younger scouts so that both benefit from the interaction. Scouts learn personal responsibility, leadership, outdoorsmanship, and how to honor their bodies, their country, and God.
Although we are small, we maintain an active program, with at least 10 weekend outings a year. Our program activities include South Mountain District Fall Camporee, Scouting for Food, Compass & Orienteering Weekend at Silver Ridge Hunting Lodge, Youth Leadership Training Weekend, Klondike Derby Winter event, Holiday Bowling Party, camping at the Iron Pigs Stadium, hiking, rock climbing, a week at summer camp and much more!
Troop 329 meets on Tuesday evenings from 7pm - 8:30pm at Trinity UCC at 81 E. North Street in Bethlehem. Occasionally, additional meetings are held or meeting days are switched to accommodate certain program requirements. We aim to schedule at least (1) monthly Troop Activity which can include a council sponsored event, camping trip, day hike, educational trip or training. We aim to offer (1) Family Event per program year.
Patrol Leader Council Meetings:
We hold Patrol Leader Council Meetings monthly. Any boy that is elected as Senior Patrol Leader, Asst. Senior Patrol Leader or Patrol Leader is asked to attend this meeting for the length of his position.
