PTO News for October
Here's what we have going on in the month of October:
Bethel Middle School 2018 Scholastic Book Fair
Monday, October 15th – Friday, October 19th
Students will visit the book fair in the Media Center during their ELA class time and the book fair will be open at 7:30 am before school. A class schedule will be available soon.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Meltdown is coming! Pre-order your copy today online or at the book fair!
We accept cash, credit cards and checks made out to “BMS PTO.”
Go cash-free with the new student eWallet. Create an eWallet on our book fair webpage and authorize a spending limit on your child’s “credit card”. It’s a secure way to give kids money to buy books, allows for a pre-authorized amount to buy books – just type in a note to regulate what they can buy! Each student is issued a scannable code upon creation of the eWallet that can be looked up in our EasyScan2 register for the quick transactions. Go to our book fair website to set yours up today.

Have you been saving up your box tops? Have you been wondering if Bethel Middle School collects box tops? Not only do we collect box tops, but we are even having a contest to see who can collect the most! One homeroom from each grade will win! Will it be your child's homeroom?
Please send in your box tops each week. Collection envelopes are in each homeroom. Our first collection deadline is October 19 but we are collecting all year long!
Nature's Classroom Fundraising
Every year our 7th Graders go to Nature's Classroom and if you attended the informational meeting last week, you know it can be expensive. Each year the PTO helps 7th graders raise funds to help offset the cost of their tuitions.
If you are interested in learning more about how the PTO can help you pay for Nature's Classroom, please contact Jill Kurtz - firstname.lastname@example.org.
Taking Care of our Teachers - Break Room Edition
Did you know we have setup a coffee and snack station in the break room for our teachers? They love it so much we are starting to run out of supplies.
Would you like to help stock our break room? To make it easier we setup a wish list on Amazon. Here is the link: http://a.co/6IeZgKL. You can order the items online and choose to have it sent directly to the school!!!
So far our Mixed Bag fundraiser has raised over $1800. Although the catalog ordering is complete, you can still order online. The link is provided below.
Thanks to everyone who came out to Prime Pub after Open house last month. We thank them for the generous donation of $750!!! Please keep an eye out for future get together events!! If you know a great place you would like to suggest, you can email us at BethelMSPTO@gmail.com.
Putting our Fundraising Dollars to Work
The Bethel PTO fundraises so we can help make Bethel Middle School the best it can be. It could be by showing our staff how much we appreciate all they do for the kids, or funding events like the 8th Grade Dance.
One of our favorite things is to be able to help those in need be able to participate in BMS activities. We were able to help some students pay for chromebook insurance. We've also helped pay for a few students to be able to go on the Boston Field Trip coming up.
We can't do it without your support and we thank you!!
Our Mixed Bag fundraiser is still going!!
We are no longer taking catalog orders, but online ordering is open through 12/31/18!!
Go to http://www.mixedbagdesigns.com/landing-page?fundraiserid=836021 to do your ordering online.
Be sure to share with friends and family too!
