BETA – The Bolivian English Teachers’ Association is a non- profit organization with the aim of enhancing professionalism in English Language Teaching Education, developing opportunities for EFL teachers in Bolivia and neighboring countries. BETA organizes teacher development conventions, workshops, Seminars, Conferences, and courses during the year as well as a four -day annual convention with the participation of world-outstanding experts.
It is also affiliated to TESOL International, Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, and IATEFL, International Association of Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
The most important event of BETA is its Annual Convention, which normally takes place in January in different cities of Bolivia, with international presenters from TESOL board, and others International Associations, Editorials and Institutions involved in the ELT field. In 2020, Beta celebrates 25 years of history.
Thanks to the Support of The US Government, through the US Embassy in Bolivia, the Annual convention has been held with its economical and logistics support, as well as teaching assistance with courses, webinars, MOOCs and scholarships for English Teachers. BETA Association greatly appreciates all the received support in favor of English Language Teaching in our Country.
