Officers

Becoming a Beta Club Officer is a place of honor and requires leadership skills, responsibility and many other traits. There are four Officer positions, which are the President, Vice President, Secretary and Historian. Here are the roles and requirements needed to assume one of these positions:

  • President:
    • Lead all meetings
    • Regarding service projects:
      • Take a leading role in all service projects.
      • Go above and beyond to make sure that all service projects are accomplished.
      • Assign and delegate tasks for other Officers and Beta Club members.
    • Willing to take the initiative.
    • Is very organized.
    • Develop, plan and oversee two service projects in the spring (all officers will collaborate).
  • Vice President:
    • Lead meetings when the President is absent or unable.
    • Take a leading role in all service projects.
    • Assist in the general management of the Club.
    • Develop, plan and oversee two service projects in the spring (all officers will collaborate).
  • Secretary:
    • Regarding the Beta Club Website (they will be given access):
      • Record meeting minutes on the website.
        • Communicate to absent students what was discussed in the meeting(s) while they were absent.
      • Keep the website updated.
    • Develop, plan and oversee two service projects in the spring (all officers will collaborate).
  • Historian:
    • Help document (video/photograph) all events and projects done throughout the school year.
      • This means you should attend all service projects (or as many as possible) to take photos.
        • If you cannot attend an event then delegate the task of photo shooting to another member and make sure you get those photos from them.
      • Make a slideshow at the end of the year to be presented at the End-of-Year Celebration and New Member Induction.
