Privacy Policy for Course & Training Apps
Effective Date: 28-May-2025
Last Updated: 28-May-2025
This privacy policy applies to all mobile applications published by Course & Training Apps on Google Play Store. By downloading, installing, or using any of our apps, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy.
Welcome to Course & Training Apps! Your privacy is of utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy details how we handle your information when you use our apps. We are committed to transparency regarding data collection, usage, and protection. Please read this policy carefully to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
We value your privacy and want to assure you that our apps do not directly collect any personal information from users. This means we do not gather details such as your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or any other personal identifiers. We do not require account creation or login to use our apps.
Our apps store certain data locally on your device to provide core functionality. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third party. Locally stored data includes:
Reading Progress: The chapter you last read, your reading position, and which chapters you have completed.
Bookmarks and Favorites: Chapters or content you save as favorites for quick access.
App Preferences: Your chosen settings such as font size, dark mode preference, notification preferences, and reminder time.
Reading Streak: A count of consecutive days you have used the app, stored to encourage daily learning.
Notification History: Push notification messages received by the app, stored locally so you can review them later.
All of the above data is stored in your device's local storage (SharedPreferences and SQLite database) and is automatically removed when you uninstall the app.
Our apps integrate the following third-party services, each of which may collect data as described below:
Our apps display advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain information to deliver personalized or non-personalized advertisements. This may include:
Advertising ID: A unique, user-resettable identifier for advertising purposes (Google Advertising ID). Our apps request the AD_ID permission for this purpose.
Device Information: Details about the device you are using, such as device model, manufacturer, operating system version, and screen size.
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with advertisements, including ad impressions, clicks, and engagement metrics.
IP Address: Used to determine approximate geographic location for region-appropriate advertising.
For more information, please review the Google Privacy Policy and AdMob data collection details.
Our apps use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with our apps. Firebase Analytics may automatically collect:
App usage data: Such as session duration, screens viewed, and feature usage patterns.
Device information: Including device model, operating system version, and language settings.
Crash and performance data: Technical data to help us identify and fix app issues.
This data is collected in aggregate form and does not personally identify individual users. For more information, please review the Firebase Privacy Policy.
Our apps use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications to your device. To deliver notifications, FCM generates a unique device token. This token is used solely for the purpose of sending notifications and does not contain any personal information. We may send notifications such as:
New content updates and announcements.
Daily reading reminders (if enabled by you in app settings).
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings or within the app's settings page.
Our apps request the following Android permissions. Each permission is used only for the stated purpose:
Required to load app content, display advertisements, receive push notifications, and send analytics data.
Used to check whether the device has an active internet connection before attempting to load content.
Required on Android 13+ to display push notifications and daily reading reminders. You will be prompted to grant this permission, and you can deny or revoke it at any time.
Used to reschedule daily reading reminder alarms after the device restarts, so your chosen reminder time is preserved.
Provides haptic feedback when notifications are received.
Allows downloading images to your device storage when you choose to save or share content. On Android 10+ (API 29+), scoped storage is used instead.
Allows setting a downloaded image as your device wallpaper, only when you explicitly choose this option.
Used to access the Google Advertising ID for serving relevant advertisements through AdMob.
Our apps include a text-to-speech feature that reads content aloud using your device's built-in TTS engine. This feature works entirely on your device. No audio data or text content is sent to external servers for speech processing. The TTS feature may require you to install a language pack on your device depending on the app's language setting.
We do not collect, use, or process personal data directly. The information handled by third-party services (AdMob, Firebase) is used to:
Serve advertisements that support the free availability of our apps.
Understand general app usage patterns to improve user experience.
Deliver push notifications with content updates and reminders.
Monitor app stability and fix technical issues.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share any data with third parties beyond what is automatically collected by the third-party SDKs (AdMob, Firebase) integrated into our apps, as described in Section 2.3 above. These services are governed by Google's privacy policies.
Local data (preferences, bookmarks, reading progress) is retained on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data from your device settings.
Firebase Analytics data is retained according to Google's data retention policies (typically 14 months for user-level data and 2 months for event-level data by default).
AdMob data is managed and retained by Google in accordance with their data retention policies.
At Course & Training Apps, we prioritize the security of your information. Although we do not directly collect personal data through our apps, we understand the importance of safeguarding the data handled by third parties.
While our apps themselves do not collect or store personal data on external servers, we employ several best practices to ensure the overall security of our app environment:
Secure Code Practices: We follow industry-standard secure coding practices to minimize vulnerabilities and reduce the risk of unauthorized access to our app.
Regular Updates: We routinely update our apps to fix any security vulnerabilities and to incorporate the latest security enhancements.
HTTPS Communication: All network communication between our apps and external services uses encrypted HTTPS connections.
AdMob and Firebase, as Google-owned services, employ advanced security measures including:
Data Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit and at rest to prevent unauthorized access.
Access Controls: Strict access controls limit who can access data within Google's systems.
Regular Security Audits: Google conducts regular security audits and assessments to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
We encourage users to take their own precautions to protect their data:
Secure Your Device: Ensure that your device has up-to-date security software and is protected by a password or biometric lock.
Be Cautious with Permissions: Review app permissions carefully and only grant access to information that you are comfortable sharing.
Keep Apps Updated: Always use the latest version of our apps to benefit from the newest security improvements.
Monitor App Activity: Regularly check for unusual activity or permissions granted to apps on your device.
Please be aware that while we and our third-party partners take measures to protect your data, no system can be completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information and are not responsible for any unauthorized access or loss of data that may occur despite our best efforts.
In the unlikely event of a data breach involving third-party services, we will take appropriate steps to address the issue and mitigate any potential impact. We will notify users if necessary and provide information on steps to protect themselves.
Our apps are not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information through our apps, please contact us at the email address provided below.
You have the following rights regarding your data:

Reset Advertising ID: You can reset your Google Advertising ID at any time from your device settings.
Disable notifications: You can disable push notifications and daily reminders through the app's settings or your device's system notification settings.
Delete local data: You can clear all locally stored data (bookmarks, reading progress, preferences) by clearing the app's data from your device settings, or by uninstalling the app.
Disable analytics: You can limit data collection by Firebase Analytics through your device's privacy settings.
Our apps are available worldwide. If you access our apps from outside the country where our servers or third-party services are located, please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in other countries. By using our apps, you consent to such transfer and processing.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to periodically review this policy to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of our apps after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
