For ps5 gamers seeking the absolute best headset for ps5, I recommend the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex as my top choice because its active noise cancellation and hybrid wireless design deliver a focused audio experience that rivals dedicated gaming gear. If you need something with a longer battery life and RGB aesthetics specifically tuned for immersive play, the BENGOO Gaming Headset is my runner-up pick.
• Jabra Evolve2 — best for focused gameplay and mixed work; pick this if you need active noise cancellation to block distractions and want seamless switching between PS5 sessions and video calls.
• BENGOO Gaming Headset — best for long marathons and visual flair; pick this if you crave a massive 100-hour battery life and want customizable RGB lighting that enhances your console setup.
• daily headset USB Headset — best for budget-conscious communication; pick this if you prioritize crystal-clear voice chat for team coordination without needing premium surround sound effects.
• KCTIN Walkie Talkie Earpiece — best for hands-free tactical comms in noisy environments; pick this if you are using compatible Midland radios alongside your console or need secure, private audio in chaotic settings.
The Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex stands out as a versatile powerhouse that bridges the gap between professional office equipment and high-end gaming peripherals. Its core strength lies in the hybrid active noise cancellation system, which physically blocks out ambient room noise while electronically filtering out background chatter. For a gamer playing on a PS5, this means you can tune into the subtle footsteps of an opponent in a competitive shooter or hear the delicate score of a narrative adventure without being distracted by household noises. The super-soft foam cushions and flexible rotating earcups ensure that even after hours of intense gaming, the headset remains comfortable rather than clamping down on your ears.
This headset is ideal for players who demand clarity above all else. The ClearVoice microphone technology uses multiple microphones to isolate your voice from the surrounding environment, ensuring your teammates hear you clearly whether you are shouting strategy or whispering a plan. The ability to connect via Bluetooth 5.2 or a low-latency USB dongle gives you the flexibility to move around your room without dropping the signal. It also folds compactly into a carrying pouch, making it easy to toss into a bag if you travel to LAN events or visit friends.
However, there is a trade-off to consider regarding the aesthetic and specific gaming features. Unlike many gaming headsets, this unit does not feature RGB lighting or flashy designs, presenting a sleek, understated black finish that might not appeal to those wanting a neon-lit setup. While it handles audio beautifully, it lacks the specialized "3D Surround" software often found in gaming-specific brands, relying instead on high-quality stereo drivers to deliver a precise soundstage. I find this omission negligible for most users, but it is worth noting if you strictly prefer the immersive, software-driven spatial audio of dedicated gaming consoles. Ultimately, the focus here is on productivity and comfort, making it a fantastic choice for serious players who also use their headsets for other tasks.

The BENGOO Gaming Headset brings a distinct energy to the table with its transparent crystal shell design and vibrant RGB lighting that pulses in rhythm with your game. This is not just a tool for listening; it is a statement piece designed to elevate the visual presence of your PS5 station. The included 3D surround sound processing helps with acoustic positioning, allowing you to pinpoint where enemies are coming from in fast-paced action titles.
What truly sets this model apart for marathon gamers is its incredible battery endurance. With a substantial internal battery, it promises up to 100 hours of continuous playtime on a single charge. This eliminates the anxiety of mid-game power failures and allows you to binge-play through entire story campaigns or multi-day tournaments without hunting for a charger. The low-latency connection ensures that your audio stays perfectly synced with the on-screen action, preventing any annoying delays during critical moments. The omnidirectional microphone captures your voice with high sensitivity while effectively filtering out background noise, keeping your team communication clear even when you are in the heat of battle.
The main compromise with the BENGOO is its bulk and the complexity of its connectivity options compared to simpler plug-and-play devices. The large over-ear design and the integrated electronics housing make it heavier than some competitors, which could become noticeable during extremely long sessions. Additionally, while the RGB lights are a major selling point, they do consume battery power, meaning the advertised 100-hour lifespan might be slightly reduced if you keep the lighting effects at maximum brightness. For those who prioritize style and longevity over minimalism, however, this headset delivers a robust package that feels built for serious entertainment.
The daily headset USB Headset takes a completely different approach, stripping away the bells and whistles to focus entirely on functional reliability and vocal clarity. Designed primarily for online classes, customer service, and office calls, this device proves that you do not need expensive proprietary drivers to get the job done on a PS5. Its digital signal processing and built-in noise-reduction sound card work together to suppress background interference, ensuring that your voice comes through loud and clear to anyone on the other end of the line. The soft ear cushions and adjustable headband are engineered for all-day wear, making it surprisingly comfortable for extended periods of use.
This headset is perfect for the pragmatic player who cares more about hearing every word of a teammate's instruction than experiencing cinematic surround sound. The single-sided design leaves one ear open to the room, which is excellent for maintaining situational awareness while chatting on Discord or Xbox Live. The 300-degree rotatable boom microphone allows for precise positioning right in front of your mouth, maximizing pickup quality. Since it connects directly via USB, it requires no drivers or complex pairing processes, offering a true plug-and-play experience that works instantly with your console.
The trade-off here is obvious: this is not a gaming headset in the traditional sense. It lacks the deep bass response and immersive spatial audio features that define modern gaming experiences. You will not find RGB lights or fancy 3D sound profiles here. Instead, you get a straightforward, no-nonsense audio solution that prioritizes speech intelligibility. If your primary goal is to communicate effectively without breaking the bank, this is a smart, utilitarian choice that gets the job done efficiently.
The KCTIN Walkie Talkie Earpiece serves a very specific niche that most standard gaming headsets cannot address: secure, hands-free communication in high-noise environments. While not a traditional headphone, it pairs seamlessly with compatible Midland radios to create a private channel for your team. The air acoustic tube technology transfers voice clearly even when you are surrounded by chaos, such as in a paintball arena or a busy warehouse. The in-ear design keeps your ears partially exposed to ambient sounds while delivering crisp audio, offering a level of safety and awareness that over-ear headphones simply cannot match.
This product is best suited for teams that need to coordinate tactics without raising their voices or exposing their location. The durable PPT button allows for easy press-to-talk functionality, and the clip-on mic position ensures stability during movement. Because it is wired and connects via a standard jack, it offers zero latency, which is critical for real-time tactical decisions. The lightweight polycarbonate construction makes it nearly invisible when worn, providing a discreet option for security personnel or organized groups.
However, its utility is strictly limited by its compatibility. This earpiece is designed specifically for Midland radio models and will not function as a standalone gaming headset for the PS5 without additional hardware adapters. It also lacks the full-range audio reproduction needed for music or movie playback on the console. If you are looking for a general-purpose gaming accessory, this is not the answer. But for those who need reliable, hands-free comms for specific scenarios involving radios, it is an invaluable tool that keeps your team connected without the bulk of a full headset.

Yes, most USB headsets like the daily headset model work directly with the PS5, provided they follow standard USB audio protocols. However, some advanced features may require specific console settings adjustments.
While not mandatory, active noise cancellation like that found in the Jabra Evolve2 significantly improves immersion by blocking out household distractions, allowing you to focus better on the game audio.
Generally, no. These earpieces like the KCTIN are designed for specific two-way radio systems. They do not output standard stereo audio for games unless used with a separate radio interface.
Battery life is crucial for wireless convenience. A headset with a long-lasting battery, such as the 100-hour capacity in the BENGOO, prevents interruptions during long gaming sessions and reduces the need for frequent charging.
