I am a Ph.D. candidate in Accounting at The University of Texas at Dallas. My research lies primarily in financial accounting and draws on insights from financial economics and industrial organization. I study the informational role of corporate disclosure and its implications for decision-making in different market contexts, with a particular focus on commodity markets.
In my job market paper, titled "The Informational Role of Corporate Disclosure in Commodity Markets," I examine the informativeness of revenue disclosures from the novel perspective of commodity markets.
Prior to pursuing my academic career, I worked as a capital markets analyst, specializing in fixed income securities, derivatives, and investor relations. I am a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
I hold an M.S. in Finance and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University.
