I disassemble a fluorescent strip light for bathroom. With a couple of connectors and cable, I adapted it to my requirements.

You can see the control circuit in the top left of the next picture.

Ventilation holes were made, although the fluorescent generates little heat.

The installed fluorescent is 12W. With 8W would have been enough, but that type tend to be shorter.

The artwork is printed on "back light" paper, and is based on Project MAME by Rasmus Kønig.

The artwok is installed between two pieces of methacrylate, as a sandwich. The fluorescent proves to be too bright, so I add a white adhesive on the back methacrylate piece, to decrease and diffuse the light.
