Control Panel: Methacrylate

The methacrylate is completely transparent, but it looks blue in the pictures due to the protection film.

To shape it, we use the metal plate. The technique consists in heating with a heat gun (of the kind used for stripping paint) the area to be bent. I used a wooden board to increase the weight of the bottom, so that gravity assist in the process.

Once bent, the holes can be made​​. It's much easier if you use the metal plate as template, as shown in the picture.

It's not convenient to remove the protective film until you perform the final assembly, to avoid scratches.
