Overview
As this is a variation of the SolusChess USB version, here you only will find supplementary information in order to build a version with Bluetooth. Anyway, this circuit can be implemented on any SolusChess board, provided it uses Teensy++ 2.0
The unit shown here, has the following features:
Chessboard: Wooden folding type, with 27cm side, and 3cm squares.
Sensors: Using slightly smaller reed switches.
Magnets: 10x1mm Neodymium type, suitable for the size of the squares and chessmen.
PCB: Perforated boards (Single-Sided with Single Hole per Pad).
Microcontroller: Teensy++ 2.0 (not Teensy 2.0, due to lack of free pins to connect the Bluetooth module).
Software: Modified version of SolusChess v2 software.
Connectivity: The same (USB keyboard emulation) and, in addition, Bluetooth keyboard emulation.
Power: Internal battery LiPoly type (Lithium Ion Polymer), with an intelligent charge system (based on I.C. MCP73833).
Chessmen: Recovered from an old Fidelity Chess Challenger computer, adding the new magnets.
Host computer: Connecting via USB as usual. For wireless it's imperative Bluetooth v2.1 or higher.
