Mephisto to PC Parallel Port

In 1995 Saitek marketed the Mephisto PC Modul. A module that could be plugged into any Mephisto chessboard (Modular, Exclusive or München), allowing the chessboard to be connected to a PC/Laptop with DOS, for playing with multiple programs such as Genius, Rebel, Fritz, etc.

Wolfgang Zugrav came up with the idea of building a big computer with everything included: chessboard, PC, touch-screen, interface circuits, DOS and chess software, etc. He called this project "Mephisto The Machine".

To make this computer as efficient and compact as possible, it was necessary to make a new interface module between the sensory board and the PC. My role was to create this new electronic circuit which I named "Mephisto to PC Parallel Port".

And this is the project once completed and operational...
