Main Features:
It works with any Novag chess computer with a Serial communications port (RJ12): Super VIP, Super Forte C, Super Expert C, Super Nova, Diablo 68000, Scorpio 68000, Diamond, Sapphire, Diamond II, Sapphire II, Star Diamond, Star Sapphire, ...
It is a "Citrine emulator", converting the data transferred bidirectionally.
The use of a Novag distributor (or equivalent adapter) is not necessary: the interface itself performs this function.
It has been assembled by hand, and meticulously tested.
The firmware is upgradeable.
NEW: Supports Novag UCB connection.
Unsupported options:
You cannot play against the Novag computer using the Arena Chess GUI board, by moving the pieces with the mouse. The Citrine driver integrated in Arena only sends the moves generated from a chess engine. In other words: if you turn on "Edit mode" in Arena, the chess engines are stopped, the moves being made are not sent to the interface, and therefore they do not reach the Novag computer.

The most recent Novag computers (Star Diamond, Star Sapphire, Sapphire II and Diamond II) can be connected directly to Arena Chess GUI for Windows, without the need for this interface... although with some limitations.
This interface is designed to support all Novag chess computers, as the older models have different communication protocols.
