Ref.08 - Saitek 'OSA-Link' Interface

This interface allows to connect a SciSys/Saitek chess board (Leonardo, Galileo or Renaissance) to a PC/Laptop or Gavon via USB (virtual serial port)

It's a 3-in-1 adapter:     [Board] TTL  <->  RS232  <->  USB [PC]

The components used are of the highest quality:

• DIN connector by Hirschmann

• Cable/adapter by Future Technology Devices International Ltd.

The FTDI chip (TTL-232R) is supported with Microsoft WHQL certified VCP drivers for Windows, Apple Mac, and Linux. It incorporates 2 LED (Rx, Tx) to monitor communications. It has nothing to do with the cheap cables sold on eBay, which are mostly counterfeits of the chip Prolific PL2303.

It is also available with DB9 connector instead of USB: OSA-Link Interface (DIN5 to DB9)
