About me

For more than 20 years I have worked as an IT manager, doing hardware installation and maintenance, administering server and user applications, managing communications and security, providing technical user support, etc.

But my main passion is electronics. Since the 90's I have been involved in different projects in industrial and consumer electronics, automotive, etc. And since the beginning of 2014 I have focused on the repair and maintenance of electronic devices, as well as repairing and restoring vintage computers (from the late 70's to the mid 90's), mainly chess computers.

I also develop electronic projects, many of them based on ARM microcontrollers (programming them in C), taking care of all the stages: circuit design, prototyping, PCB design, final assembly and testing. I have a small but complete laboratory with power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyser, soldering equipment, 3D printer...

On this website you can find some of the electronic works I have recently done, especially those related to my passion for vintage chess computers: projects, repairs and accessories.

I hope you find something of interest here.

Best,
Gerardo M. (aka Berger)
