My research focuses on the reciprocal interaction between populations and their environments: I work across scales looking at traits, populations, and communities.

I enjoy teaching because it allows me to share both my fascination with natural ecosystems and the scientific method that I use to help understand them. 

Science can and should be for everyone, and science can't be its best if anyone is left out. I work to make my research, teaching, and outreach accessible and inclusive.
