Since September 2025, I have been a Boya Postdoctoral Fellow at the Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research at Peking University, where my mentor is Ruochuan Liu. I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Rice University in May 2025 under the supervision of Brandon Levin.
I am a number theorist working in arithmetic geometry and the representation theory of Galois groups. One part of my research concerns mod p Galois representations and the geometry of the Emerton–Gee stack, a moduli stack that plays a central role in the categorical p-adic Langlands program. In particular, I study the geometry and singularities of its irreducible components. I also work on explicit mod p Satake transforms and related questions in mod p representation theory.
A second part of my research concerns elliptic curves, especially the Selmer groups and ranks of families of curves over number fields. I am interested in translating arithmetic questions into more explicit algebraic and combinatorial terms, including unexpected connections between quadratic reciprocity, graph theory, and the rational points on elliptic curves.
My teaching experience ranges from college algebra and calculus to algebraic number theory and scheme theory. I am particularly interested in mentoring undergraduate students and in presenting current research in a form accessible to a broad mathematical audience.
