Composed fully original music for all parts of the game, including menu, cutscene, and level music.
Created audio assets using a mix of Foley recording and free use sound assets.

In this track, I blended the instrumentation of much of the game's sound identity (primarily organ and string based) with the jazziness and upbeat feel of the menu music. I aimed for a high energy bossa nova inspired piece, a contrast to many of the game's slower, somber pieces.
Speaking of somber pieces, this piece acts as a moment for players to breathe, encouraging players to explore the world at a slower pace. This waltz primarily features string instruments and a choir to create an emotionally resonant track.
A large part of Bonehead's appeal is the tongue and cheek nature of the skeleton's abilities and the comedic nature of his situation. I wanted to make something annoyingly catchy and campy while also tying in the medieval sound of the organ to establish the game's primary musical identity.
With this piece, I utilized more percussion instruments such as timpani and a tam-tam to add more energy to the piece. This track is meant to be more cinematic, utilizing a repetitive organ melody as a base and including an acoustic guitar to add variety to the melody.
This is probably the one piece that is starkly different from the others. I leaned more into a jazz combo arrangement similar to Lich's Day Off to create a sense of energy and whimsy as the players begin the game. Also, I just love a groovy bass line.
I've sat on this track for a while now, but considering my original intent with the piece was similar to Bonehead's premise, I figured it was time for it to see the light. This track uses an organ and a harpsichord and is meant to convey a sense of rapidly approaching doom, hence the title.
This is where I'll put words about my sound design and challenges I faced. Add more blocks if needed, but will just be code (sound manager hopefully) and "demo reel" which will include player movement, soundscape, collect icons, grave sounds, and full game audio. Need to edit that one still.
Bonehead is a 3D open environment collectathon platformer where you play as Bonehead, the skeleton with unique movement and powers centered around his skeletal form, interacting with the environment to complete small objectives in an effort to collect lost artifacts to return his missing memories.
