What I am going to present here is just a mock up of an original project I launched in collaboration with my previous Training Manager back in 2021.
This project was very personal to me since I get to explore and had fun making this project. It's about cross-upskilling Filipino learners on technical support topics that are foreign to them. But instead of going through a traditional route of lectures, discussions, and straightforward assessments, I employed the use of the Case Study Method.
I got the idea to use the approach because of my degree in Psychology. In our major courses: Abnormal Psychology and Clinical Psychology, the way we would learn the different mental disorders is by reading and going through different cases! So I told myself, why not take the same approach in learning about other things?
And so I began writing scenarios and turning them into case studies.
The following are the recipients of this project
My former training manager
The Trainers - the one I am supporting at that time
The Learners!
Of course, we begin with Assessing our current condition: we conducted needs analysis.
Action-mapping for habits and skills we want our learners to gain.
Case writing.
Assessment writing.
Case-study flow chart - for initial stage.
T3 sessions and certifications for the Trainers
Evaluation or performance review.
Microsoft Word/Publisher/Forms/PowerPoint.
For the mock-up: Articulate Rise360 (since I initially envision it as a learning suite but due to limitations back then, it was only now that I was able to plot it).
Microsoft Excel for Action Mapping, Flow chart, and analysis.
Almost 80% engagement for tech topics.
Performance improved for new hires to around 80% to actual goal.
Proficiency for tech topics in 2 weeks.
