Albert was a high school art instructor. He received his MA and MFA from the University of Wisconsin Madison, with degrees in ceramics and sculpture and has exhibited in galleries and art shows across the country.
Growing up in Wisconsin, he drew upon its rural landscape for much of his work. He also traveled extensively throughout the US, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Europe. He was particularly fond of Mexican and Native American Cultures and those influences are seen in his work. His work and academic background lent itself to a wide use of traditional and nontraditional forms and materials, as he experimented with form, color, and texture. Albert used hand built and wheel thrown sculptured ceramic forms with high and low fire glazes and applied varied surface treatments. He created strong visual sculptures while emphasizing the elements and principles of design.
This website represents work from various stages in his career.
