BPS courses are largely freestyle. We present a shooting challenge with your starting position, the number and type of targets to shoot, and the course you must navigate, but it's up to you to decide how to complete it!
A typical BPS match consists of 3-4 courses (called stages) with a total round count not exceeding 120 rounds for the whole match.
BPS brings challenging courses for our competitors to complete. Your ability to hit targets of variable difficulty as fast as you can will be tested and measured against other competitors. Challenges will never be overbearing or unachievable for the average competitor; we want this match to be fun, not punishing.
This isn't a bullseye match; you'll be moving about the course, and if you want to place well then you'll need to do it quickly! While unreasonable physical tasks will never be a part of BPS matches, some degree of athleticism has been and always will be a part of practical shooting competition.
Registration for BPS events is performed online through Practiscore.com, the premier shooting sports registration and scoring website.
