Belmont Serves Weekend 2020
Serving Closer to Home
Saturday Oct. 10, 2020 - Monday Oct. 12, 2020 (School Holiday)
Due to restrictions on gathering in large groups, we will not be hosting an in-person event in 2020.
Virtual Service Projects
Serving each other is a gift for both the reciever and the giver. There is a Chinese proverb, “A bit of fragrance clings to the hand that gives flowers.“ This year more than ever our spirits need uplifting and there is no better way to do that than to give of your time and energy in serving someone else.
Here are some Service Opportunities
Please choose one or several service projects to do on your own, with your family, pod, neighborhood or service group the weekend of Belmont Serves. Take a picture or a quick video and share with the community the good that is happening in the community. Here are some recommended service projects for you to chose from:
- Print out a Belmont Serves Bingo Card and plan out a few service ideas with the kids! (A completed card could get you an ice cream! Details on the card)

A note about The food drive for Belmont Food Pantry - many people, young and old, have enjoyed over the years participating in the annual food drive where 7,000 empty bags are donated by local grocery stores, stapled with a Belmont serves flyer by dozens of volunteer youth in a single evening, dropped on doors across town designated by 70 routes and then collected on the day of Belmont Serves and sorted by hundreds of volunteers. As you can imagine there are multiple reasons why this food drive is not possible this year. The good news is that in consulting with the Belmont Food Pantry, they are well positioned to take care of the need in our communy this fall.
