It was great to see all of you who turned out to help mark Independence Day at our traditional 4th of July neighborhood parade along Bellaire Drive and the subsequent celebrations at Oakmont Park.
Whether you participated in the parade of decorated scooters, kiddie cars, bicycles and wagons, or were among the cheering spectators dressed in red, white and blue, we are glad you were able to join us.
As well as this gathering offering the chance to catch up with our neighbors, it was fun to share some ice creams and watermelon, and see all the children enjoying the carnival games and face painting.
Our thanks to the volunteers from our community who helped to coordinate this wonderful local event which our Association hosted with our neighbors from Bellaire Park North, and Meadows West.
Please mark your calendars for the Bellaire Ridge Fall Garage Sale on Saturday, October 7.
This is a great opportunity not only to rid your house and garage of clutter, but also to get outside and meet your neighbors!
As a reminder, our HOA Covenants only permit garage sales or similar activities on dates established by the Association.

As part of fulfilling the Association’s responsibilities with respect to maintenance of many of the retaining walls in the neighborhood, an engineering study has recently been conducted. The engineer's final report was received in May.
The conclusions of the report find the walls to be, “structurally sound, reasonably stable, and adequate for their intended purpose”. And in terms of maintenance, the report recommends that cracks should be filled, and missing mortar replaced.
In line with the Association’s continued commitment to landscaping of common properties and ongoing maintenance of the retaining walls for which it is responsible, the board intends to invest in this maintenance work in the second half of the year.
Do you want to get more involved in the running of your Association? Do you want to help maintain property values in our neighborhood? Do you want to affect real change in your community? If you answered yes to any of these questions then becoming as a board member or serving on one of the Association's committees offers a great opportunity for you to make a positive impact on the quality of life for you and your neighbors.
Serving on your HOA board of directors may seem like a daunting task. And while it’s true that the position comes with a lot of responsibility and requires investment of some time and effort, it can also be a very rewarding experience. Any property owner may put their name forward to serve as one of the five board members. These volunteer roles have a two year term, with elections being conducted each November at the Association's annual meeting.
There is also the opportunity to serve on the Architectural Control Committee. As many of you know the State of Texas requires that any submission for revisions to your property requires review by three or more homeowners, not currently serving on the board. This is a great opportunity to help ensure that our community continues to maintain its high standards.
For more details about serving on the board please look out for a Call to Serve that will be mailed to all homeowners in early October. And if in the meantime you would like to learn more about any of these opportunities, please feel to contact any current board member or join us at the next board meeting.
A reminder that while your Association is here to serve our immediate neighborhood of Bellaire Ridge, the City of Fort Worth remains your first port of call for help with many common issues, including:
Trash cans: Set out your cart no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before your pickup day. Retrieve cart from curb by midnight on your pickup day. When not placed for collection, carts shall be stored so as not to be visible from the front of the property.
Parking: It is unlawful to leave a vehicle parked at the same location for a continuous period of time in excess of five days. Such vehicles are considered abandoned and are subject to removal. Report vehicles to our Neighborhood Police Officer, Brian Carriger.
Dogs: Animals that cause “frequent or long-continued noise” disturbing to “the comfort and repose of any person of ordinary sensibilities in the immediate vicinity” may earn their owners a fine of up to $500. Call Animal Care & Control for help with noise complaints.
Watering: Keep your landscaping looking its best by adhering to the twice-a-week irrigation schedule. For more details visit Twice-a-Week SmartWatering for information on the City of Fort Worth's year-round outdoor watering requirements.
Please save the date for the Association's annual meeting on November 14. The annual meeting is a great opportunity to hear what is new in our community as well as to catch up with your neighbors!
In addition to participating in the annual meeting, all homeowners are welcome and encouraged to attend the open session of any board meeting. These meetings are typically held at least quarterly,.
Our thanks, as always, to the homeowners who were able to join us for the open session of the board meeting held on August 8, for which minutes are now available. The next meeting of the board is scheduled for September 26, 2023.
Bellaire Ridge Residential Association is your association. We love to hear what is working well, and what could be even better. And we always welcome volunteers!
