Hiya all! So I'm running around my island and I hear an alarm clock ringing. Anyone know what that stands for. I hear the dinging from the smoker and the drip noise from the still but couldn't figure out the alarm clock noise.

I recently bought a modern twin bell alarm clock (it was made in 2002). It keeps time just fine but the alarm portion doesn't work. On the back, it has two dials. One to set the time (clockwise), the other to set the alarm (counterclockwise). An on/off switch for the alarm. And a battery compartment for a AA battery. I went to set the alarm by turning the alarm dial counterclockwise and flipping the alarm switch to on just like the instructions said. Then I turned the time dial clockwise until just before the hour hand was lined up with the alarm hand. When the hour hand reaches the alarm hand, there is a very audible click sound but the hammer that's supposed to hit the bells never move. Anyone know what might be wrong or what I might be doing wrong? The clock is brand new, never opened. It just has been sitting on a shelf collecting dust since 2002.

An alarm clock or alarm is a clock that is designed to alert an individual or group of people at a specified time. The primary function of these clocks is to awaken people from their night's sleep or short naps; they can sometimes be used for other reminders as well.
