Firstly, plug the extender into a power outlet.
Note: make sure that the extender is placed near the wireless router.
After this, turn your computer device on and go to its “available networks” section.
In the available networks list, you should see the default name of the Belkin extender- “Belkin.setup.”
Note: as soon as you plug the extender into the power outlet, it will show the wireless network name on the computer’s available network list.
Hence, for the first time Belkin setup, you should connect the extender with the unsecured Belkin.setup network.
Note: all the users can set their password and secure it during the installation procedure.
Now, you must visit the official Belkin extender setup page. Fort this, you should enter “Belkin.range” in the address bar of the web browser.
After this, you will have to install and configure the Belkin range extender.
In the next step of the Belkin setup, the extender would search for the network names in its range.
Therefore, you should select the network name you want to increase and then click on the “Next” button.
After clicking on the network, you may be asked for a network key, your router’s password. Hence, please type the password of your wireless router in the given slot and click on the “Next” button.
Now verify the password and click on create extended network button.
After this, you have to restart your router and the extender and wait for about a minute or two.
Now, after the Belkin setup, your Belkin range extender is ready to be kept at the place where your router’s signal is weak.
