If you want immersive, noise-blocking isolation for focused streaming sessions and long workouts, choose Belkin SoundForm Pulse ANC; if you need to stay aware of your surroundings while listening with a lightweight, breathable fit, choose Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open.
• Belkin SoundForm Pulse ANC: Offers hybrid active noise cancellation and 35 hours of total battery life but relies on an in-ear design that blocks some environmental sound. Best for commuters and gym-goers who demand focus.
• Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open: Features an open-ear design for situational awareness and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity but provides only 28 hours of playback and lacks active noise cancellation. Ideal for runners and office workers who need to hear their environment.
The Belkin SoundForm Pulse ANC is built for the person who wants to disappear into their audio stream. Its defining feature is the hybrid Active Noise Cancelling system, which actively neutralizes ambient noise rather than just blocking it physically. This makes it a powerhouse for streaming content where immersion matters. Whether you are watching a movie on a busy train or trying to focus on a podcast in a noisy café, these earbuds create a dedicated acoustic bubble around you. The ability to let in just the right amount of background noise means you aren't completely cut off from reality, yet the music remains the priority.
For the active user, the IPX5 rating is a significant advantage. Unlike standard water resistance, this level of protection handles sweat and splashes effectively, making it a reliable companion for intense gym sessions or rainy commutes. The ergonomic in-ear shape ensures they stay put during movement, and the inclusion of three pairs of silicone tips (small, medium, large) allows you to dial in a secure seal. A secure seal is critical not just for comfort, but for the performance of the noise cancellation itself. Without that seal, the ANC cannot function as intended.

The battery life here is substantial, offering up to 35 hours of total playback time with the charging case. This is a massive leap over many competitors and means you can go days without plugging in the USB-C cable. The multipoint connection also shines for the multitasker; you can seamlessly switch between your laptop and phone without manual re-pairing. If your workflow involves jumping between video calls and music streaming, the 6-microphone array with noise reduction algorithms ensures your voice comes through clearly even when the world around you is loud. I recommend this pick if your primary goal is to block out the chaos and get lost in the audio.
The Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open takes a completely different approach by abandoning the traditional in-ear seal entirely. Instead, it uses an open-ear design that sits gently on the outer ear, leaving the ear canal completely unobstructed. This creates a natural listening experience where the sound blends seamlessly with your surroundings. You won't feel the pressure of deep insertion or the fatigue that often comes with wearing tight earplugs for hours. This makes them perfect for anyone who needs to remain engaged with their environment while enjoying their favorite streams.
For the safety-conscious listener, such as a runner or someone who cycles through city streets, this design is non-negotiable. You can hear traffic, pedestrians, and announcements without having to take the earbuds out. The breathable shank design further enhances comfort, allowing air to circulate so your ears don't get hot or sweaty during extended wear. While the IPX4 rating offers splash resistance against sweat and rain, it is slightly less robust than the Belkin's IPX5, though still sufficient for most workout scenarios.
Audio fidelity is where Sennheiser shines, utilizing 11 mm dynamic drivers tuned for clear, balanced sound. The Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity ensures a stable link with minimal latency, which is crucial for syncing audio with video during streaming. The multi-point pairing works just as well as the Belkin, allowing you to manage two devices simultaneously. However, you trade the deep bass response and isolation of in-ear models for this airy, open presentation. If you find that in-ear buds make you feel isolated or cause physical discomfort after an hour, the ACCENTUM Open is the solution that lets you listen all day without pain.
• Best for immersive streaming: Belkin SoundForm Pulse ANC, thanks to its hybrid active noise cancelling that eliminates distractions.
• Best for situational awareness: Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open, because the open-fit design lets you hear traffic and conversations naturally.
• Longest battery life: Belkin SoundForm Pulse ANC, delivering 35 hours of total playback compared to 28 hours on the Sennheiser.
• Most comfortable for long sessions: Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open, as the open design prevents the pressure and heat buildup common with in-ear models.
• Superior water resistance: Belkin SoundForm Pulse ANC, with an IPX5 rating handling more sweat and splashes than the IPX4 on the Sennheiser.
• Latest connectivity tech: Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open, featuring Bluetooth 5.3 for potentially faster pairing and better stability than the 5.2 on the Belkin.
• Best for heavy workouts: Belkin SoundForm Pulse ANC, given the superior sweat resistance and secure in-ear fit.
• Best for office/call clarity: Both are excellent with multipoint, but the Belkin's 6-microphone array may offer a slight edge in noisy environments due to its algorithmic noise reduction.
After weighing the specs and use cases, I would buy the Belkin SoundForm Pulse ANC for my personal streaming setup. The combination of active noise cancellation and 35 hours of battery life solves the two biggest pain points of modern listening: distraction and charging anxiety. While the Sennheiser is a fantastic product for those who need to stay alert, the immersive quality of the Belkin is what truly elevates the experience of watching movies or listening to music. If you are looking for the best bluetooth headphones for streaming where focus is key, the Belkin wins out.
However, if you prioritize comfort and safety over isolation, the Sennheiser is the clear winner. There is no denying that the open-ear design offers a unique freedom that in-ear buds simply cannot match. But for pure audio engagement and longevity, the Belkin is the more versatile tool.
