If you want all-day battery life with seamless switching between two devices and a classic foldable design for your MacBook, choose Belkin SoundForm Surround; if you need hybrid active noise cancellation with multiple sound modes and a rugged stainless steel build for immersive audio, choose Cubitt Tracking Technologies Power Headphones.
• Belkin SoundForm Surround shines with its 60-hour battery life, Bluetooth 5.4 multipoint connectivity for dual-device users, and soft foam ear cups designed for extended wear, though it lacks a dedicated app for customization.
• Cubitt Tracking Technologies Power Headphones offers superior noise isolation through hybrid ANC with three distinct modes (On, Off, Transparency) and a durable stainless steel frame, but it omits a wired headphone jack for those who prefer a backup connection.
• Choose Belkin if you are a power user constantly toggling between a laptop and phone while working from home or commuting.
• Choose Cubitt if you prioritize blocking out ambient noise in loud environments and want a more robust physical construction for travel.
The Belkin SoundForm Surround is built for the person who values connectivity and comfort above all else. Its standout feature is the Bluetooth 5.4 technology paired with true multipoint capabilities. This means you can connect to two devices simultaneously—say, your MacBook Pro for work and your iPhone for personal calls—and switch between them instantly without unpairing or fumbling with settings. If you spend your day juggling Zoom meetings on one device while listening to podcasts on another, this seamless transition is a game-changer that keeps your workflow uninterrupted. The wireless range extends up to 33 feet, ensuring a stable connection even if you move around your office or living room.
Comfort is another pillar of this design. The headphones feature pillowy soft ear cups made from fabric and foam, which absorb sound and provide an immersive experience without causing pressure points during long sessions. Whether you are wearing them for a full eight-hour shift or a cross-country flight, the adjustable headband accommodates various head sizes, and the over-ear shape creates a seal that enhances the audio quality. The foldable design further adds to their utility, allowing you to pack them into a backpack or carry-on bag without taking up much space. Inside, the 40mm dynamic drivers deliver a "signature sound" that balances bass and treble well enough for music, podcasts, and voice calls alike.

However, this model is not for everyone. It relies entirely on wireless charging via USB-C and does not include a traditional 3.5mm auxiliary cable for non-wireless playback, although it does come with a cable for charging and audio transmission. While it features environmental noise cancellation for calls, the primary focus here is on clear communication rather than total silence. If you are looking for deep, customizable noise isolation where you can toggle specific modes like transparency to hear announcements or traffic, this might feel limited compared to competitors with more advanced ANC systems. It is best suited for users who prioritize battery longevity, multi-device management, and soft comfort over aggressive noise-blocking features.
Cubitt Tracking Technologies Power Headphones are engineered for those who demand control over their acoustic environment and durability in their gear. The defining feature here is the Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation system, which offers three distinct sound modes: ANC On, ANC Off, and Transparency. This flexibility allows you to completely block out the hum of an airplane engine, turn off the feature when you are in a quiet library, or switch to Transparency mode to stay aware of your surroundings while walking down a busy street. For anyone seeking the best noise cancelling headphone for macbook scenarios where background chatter or mechanical noise is a distraction, this tiered approach gives you the precision needed to adapt to any setting instantly.
Build quality is another area where these headphones stand out. Unlike many plastic-heavy competitors, the enclosure material includes stainless steel, suggesting a level of durability and resilience that could withstand the rigors of frequent travel. They are compact and lightweight, making them easy to slip into a bag, yet they maintain an over-ear design that delivers powerful bass and crisp treble for a rich, full-spectrum audio experience. The inclusion of four microphones ensures that call clarity remains high even in noisy environments, leveraging the advanced processing to isolate your voice. The app-based control method implies a deeper level of customization for those who want to tweak their listening profile beyond simple volume adjustments.
That said, there are trade-offs to consider. These headphones do not feature a headphone jack, meaning you cannot use them with older devices or in situations where a wired connection is necessary as a backup. While the battery life matches the competition at an impressive 60 hours, the lack of a physical audio port limits versatility for some users. Additionally, the design is available in bold colors like Olive Green or Deepest Blue, which might appeal to those wanting a statement piece, but may not suit someone preferring a purely neutral aesthetic. This product fits the traveler, the commuter, or the remote worker who needs to actively manage noise levels throughout the day and wants a device that feels solid and premium in hand.
• Best for battery life → Both offer 60 hours, but Belkin's simplicity makes it ideal for all-day reliability without needing to check battery percentages constantly.
• Best for multi-device users → Belkin SoundForm Surround wins with its native Bluetooth multipoint support for seamless switching between a laptop and phone.
• Best for noise control → Cubitt Tracking Technologies Power Headphones takes the lead with Hybrid ANC and three distinct modes including Transparency.
• Best for durability → Cubitt uses stainless steel in the enclosure, offering a more rugged build compared to Belkin's plastic and fabric mix.
• Best for wired backups → Belkin SoundForm Surround includes a USB-C audio cable, whereas Cubitt has no headphone jack at all.
• Best for comfort → Belkin focuses on pillowy soft ear cups and foam absorption, prioritizing long-term wearability for office work.
• Best for app customization → Cubitt offers app-based controls, giving tech-savvy users more granular control over their audio experience.
• Best for best sleep headphones for macbook scenarios → Neither is explicitly designed for sleep due to the over-ear form factor, but Belkin's lighter foam cups might be slightly less intrusive for side sleepers.
After weighing the specifications and real-world use cases, I would choose the Belkin SoundForm Surround for my daily setup with a MacBook. The ability to maintain a simultaneous connection to both my computer and phone without constant re-pairing is indispensable for modern productivity. The 60-hour battery life ensures I never worry about running out of power during a work week, and the soft ear cups make it comfortable enough to wear while typing away for hours. While the Cubitt headphones offer excellent noise cancellation modes, the lack of a wired jack and the absence of multipoint connectivity makes them feel slightly less versatile for a general-purpose workstation. In my opinion, the Belkin provides the most balanced package for someone who needs reliable, comfortable, and connected audio for their Mac.
Neither data sheet lists an IPX rating or mentions waterproofing, so neither should be considered suitable for swimming or heavy rain exposure.
You can use the Belkin SoundForm Surround with a compatible 3.5mm cable for audio, but the Cubitt model lacks a headphone jack entirely and requires a wireless connection or adapter.
Both models advertise 60 hours of average battery life, so either will last through multiple international flights on a single charge.
The Cubitt headphones utilize app-based controls for their features, whereas the Belkin SoundForm Surround relies on push-button controls directly on the headset.
