Firstly, plug-in the range extender into the power outlet.
Note: Make sure that the range extender is placed within the range of the wireless network.
Now locate and connect to the belkin.setup network through the Wi-Fi-enabled device.
Note: If the users cannot see this network, they are suggested to reset the range extender.
After that, go to a web browser and type https://belkin.range in the browser’s address bar and click on the “Go” button.
Note: The users can also enter “192.168.206.1” in the address bar to access the extender’s web-based Belkin Setup page.
Now on the setup page that opens, the users are suggested to click on the “Get Started” option.
After that, the users are suggested to choose the wireless network which they want to extend.
Then click on the “Next” option once done.
Note: The users are suggested to refresh if the network is not on the list.
Whenever the users need to reconfigure or reinstall the Belkin range extender, they should reset their extender. Thus resetting is a procedure that restores the range extender’s settings to the factory defaults. So, the users looking for the reset procedure must carefully check the procedure provided below.
There are two different ways to reset the Belkin.Range extender. So, choose from the following options provided below and learn how to reset the range extender.
Note: The position of the reset button varies from model to model.
The users are suggested to locate the reset button on the range extender.
After that, the users are advised to press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds.
Note: Make sure that the extender is turned ON while pressing the reset button.
Now the status light on the extender will flash and will begin to blink.
After that, when the light becomes solid green, it indicates that the reset procedure is complete.
If the extender fails to reset using the physical button, the users can access the range extender’s web-based setup page and perform the reset procedure. However, all users are suggested to follow the steps provided below to reset the range extender’s default settings.
Ensure that the system used to access the web-based Belkin setup page is connected to the same network as the range extender.
The users are required to identify the IP address that the router has assigned to the range extender.
The users can find this by accessing the router’s DHCP client table.
Once the user gets the range extender’s assigned IP address, they can now access the range extender’s setup page.
If the range extender has not detected a DHCP server in the network, they can type “https://192.168.206.1” in the browser’s address bar to perform the reset procedure.
The users are advised to tap on the “Utilities” option and then go to “Restore Factory Defaults” on the range extender’s setup page.
Note: The user may be asked to login with the range extender’s admin password. However, if not set yet, leave the field blank and click on the “Submit” option.
After that, locate and hit on the “Restore Factory Defaults” button.
