If you want compact earbuds with a wireless charging case and IPX5 sweat resistance, choose Belkin Earbuds; if you need over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation and up to 70 hours of battery life, choose Monster Persona 4th. For DJ use, I’d lean toward Monster’s over-ear design and wired option, while Belkin makes more sense for a lightweight, everyday listening setup.
• Belkin Earbuds’ biggest strength: A compact true-wireless design with up to 36 hours of combined listening time, including up to 28 additional hours from the case. Its trade-off is shorter listening time per charge: up to 8 hours for the earbuds.
• Monster Persona 4th’s biggest strength: Over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation, three EQ modes, and up to 70 hours of battery life. Its trade-off is a larger headphone format rather than pocket-sized earbuds.
• Choose Belkin if you want in-ear listening, a Qi-compatible wireless charging case, touch controls, and IPX5 sweat and water resistance.
• Choose Monster if you prefer over-ear headphones, want the included 3.5 mm connection option, or value long battery life between charges.
• Neither product’s listed specifications establish that it is purpose-built for DJ monitoring. Monster offers a wired connection and over-ear design; Belkin is the more portable listening option.
Belkin’s SoundForm Freedom earbuds are true wireless in-ear headphones with Bluetooth 5.2 and touch controls. Each earbud is rated for up to 8 hours of playtime, while the charging case provides up to 28 additional hours, for up to 36 hours in total. That combination suits someone who wants small earbuds for commuting, calls, music, and everyday listening without bringing over-ear headphones along.
The case supports Qi wireless charging, which can be convenient if you already use a compatible wireless charger. Belkin also lists IPX5 sweat and water resistance, a useful consideration for workouts or getting caught in light rain. The earbuds use custom two-layer 7 mm dynamic drivers, and the listed frequency range is 20 Hz–20 kHz. Belkin describes the sound as bass-rich with clear tones, but those specifications alone do not establish how the earbuds will sound to every listener or whether they are suitable for professional monitoring.
How We Research

Who should skip Belkin: Skip these if you specifically want over-ear headphones, an included wired listening option, or a listed battery life beyond 8 hours on a single earbud charge.
Monster Persona 4th: Who It's For
Monster Persona 4th is a wireless over-ear headphone set with active noise cancellation and three EQ modes. Its 40 mm dynamic drivers and over-ear design make it the more substantial listening option here. Monster lists up to 70 hours of battery life and a charging time of 2 hours, so it may suit someone who wants to go longer between charges than Belkin’s earbuds allow.
The design also offers a practical distinction for DJ-related use: Monster includes an aux cable and lists a 3.5 mm headphone jack, alongside wireless Bluetooth connectivity. A wired option can matter when you want to connect to equipment with a compatible headphone output or simply prefer not to depend on Bluetooth. However, the available specifications do not identify the cable’s detailed performance, latency, or compatibility with particular DJ controllers, so check your setup before treating it as a match.
Monster lists Bluetooth 6.0, a wireless range of 33 feet, and button controls. The headphones are described as having a foldable comfort design, with leather and plastic in the enclosure materials. Active noise cancellation and three EQ modes give the product more listed listening controls than Belkin, though the available information does not explain the specific EQ presets or the degree of noise reduction.
• Best for a compact, cable-free everyday carry → Belkin Earbuds. They are in-ear true wireless headphones, so there is no headband to carry or adjust.
• Best for the longest listed battery life → Monster Persona 4th. Monster specifies up to 70 hours; Belkin lists up to 36 hours when the earbuds and case are combined.
• Best for more listening time between charges → Monster Persona 4th. Its listed playtime is up to 70 hours, compared with up to 8 hours per charge for Belkin’s earbuds.
• Best for wireless charging → Belkin Earbuds. Their case supports Qi charging; Monster’s listed package includes a Type-C charging cable.
• Best for workouts or light rain, based on the listed resistance rating → Belkin Earbuds. They are rated IPX5 for sweat and water resistance. Monster’s supplied information does not list a comparable resistance rating.
• Best for a wired headphone option → Monster Persona 4th. It includes an aux cable and has a 3.5 mm jack. Belkin is listed as wireless.
• Best for adjustable sound through listed EQ modes → Monster Persona 4th. It has three EQ modes, while Belkin’s supplied details do not list selectable EQ modes.
• Best for finding a misplaced charging case with an iPhone → Belkin Earbuds. Belkin lists Apple Find My network support for iOS users.
• Best for someone asking for the best gaming headset for DJ sessions → neither is clearly a gaming headset from the listed details. Monster’s over-ear fit and aux cable may suit a buyer who wants wired headphones, but no gaming microphone or gaming-specific feature is listed.
• Best for a search for best hi res gaming headphones for DJ use → neither can be verified as hi-res from the supplied specifications. Belkin lists a 20 Hz–20 kHz frequency range, but that alone does not establish hi-res certification. Monster’s sheet does not provide a hi-res claim.
Buying Considerations
Fit and listening context matter, too. Monster’s over-ear design may be preferable if you want headphones that sit around your ears, while Belkin’s in-ear format is easier to carry for general day-to-day listening. The data does not establish either product’s comfort over a long DJ session, so I would not assume that one will fit every listener better.
Battery needs point in different directions. Monster lists up to 70 hours, a strong figure if you want fewer charging breaks. Belkin’s up-to-36-hour total includes the case, with up to 8 hours from the earbuds themselves. Its case can recharge wirelessly on a compatible Qi charger, which may fit better into a phone-and-earbuds routine.
Finally, don’t confuse noise features with sound isolation or professional monitoring performance. Belkin lists environmental noise cancellation for clearer calls, while Monster lists active noise cancellation. The descriptions do not quantify how much noise either reduces, and neither sheet provides measurements for DJ monitoring accuracy, sound leakage, or latency. If those are central to your decision, seek device-specific information before buying.
I’d choose Monster Persona 4th for DJ use because it is over-ear, includes an aux cable, and offers up to 70 hours of battery life. Those features make it the more practical fit of these two for someone who wants headphones and a wired connection option, though I’d verify compatibility with the DJ equipment first. For ordinary portable listening, I’d pick Belkin instead for its compact earbuds, Qi charging case, and IPX5 rating.
Monster is the more natural fit based on the listed over-ear design and included aux cable. The specifications do not confirm compatibility with particular DJ equipment or provide monitoring-performance measurements, so check the connection your setup needs.
Monster lists up to 70 hours. Belkin lists up to 36 hours total, made up of up to 8 hours from the earbuds and up to 28 additional hours from the case.
Monster lists active noise cancellation. Belkin lists environmental noise cancellation for calls; that is described as reducing background noise during phone calls, not as the same feature claim Monster makes.
Belkin is the option with a stated IPX5 sweat and water resistance rating. Monster’s supplied specifications do not state a comparable rating, so I would not assume it has the same protection.
