Employment – Work permit in Belarus

The employer will of course have to justify the need to hire a foreigner and demonstrate that the vacant position could not be filled by a Belarusian citizen or foreign permanent resident, by failure of finding the candidate through the job placement department of the Belarusian Employment and Social Protection of the Population.

A foreigner wishing to work for several Belarusian employers, is compelled to receive the work permit for each of the employers. The work permit is valid for one year, renewable for a second term, after which it must be re-applied. Unlike other countries, where it can take various months before receiving an answer, with the efficient Belarus administration you can expect an answer within 10 to 25 working days.
