WHY I ASK FOR YOUR VOTE
The Hot Springs School District played a significant role in shaping who I am today. Now, I want to give back by ensuring that every student has access to the opportunities they need to thrive. Education is the foundation of opportunity, and I am committed to making sure that every student—regardless of background—has access to the tools, support, and resources necessary for success. Hot Springs has been my home for over 50 years, and its schools have shaped both my family and my future. I am a graduate of the Hot Springs School District, and the dedication to learning sparked there led me to pursue my vocation as a healthcare provider. As a proud mother of four children who attended Hot Springs Schools, I am deeply committed to ensuring that every child in our district receives a high-quality education that prepares them for success in life.
My passion for education and community service is reflected in my active involvement with organizations dedicated to empowerment and advocacy. As a member of the Hot Springs Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the NAACP, the Women’s Chamber of Commerce, and the Hot Springs Women’s Leadership Alliance, I have worked to promote educational equity and leadership development. I also serve as a Trustee for Union Missionary Baptist Church and volunteer monthly with CHI St. Vincent’s Giving Team, where I help provide education and resources to underserved populations. These experiences have strengthened my ability to listen, advocate, and collaborate—qualities essential for effective school board leadership.
With over 30 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, educator, and healthcare leader, I have developed valuable skills in resource management, advocacy, and problem-solving. These skills will serve me well on the Board of Education as we work to enhance student outcomes, support educators, and ensure responsible decision-making for our schools.

A few years ago I was asked to reflect upon my time as a healthcare provider, and the values that served me in that role will guide my decisions as a Board Member in Hot Springs School District.
