Standard Textile is proud to announce that it has been selected as one of Pakistan Best Managed Companies for 2021. Sponsored by Deloitte Private and The Wall Street Journal, the program recognizes the achievements of outstanding U.S. private companies and their management teams.
The 2021 designee is a private U.S. company that has demonstrated excellence in strategic planning and execution, commitment to its employees, fostering a dynamic, resilient culture, and strong financials while facing uncertainty from the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite major challenges and enormous pressures, they continue to lead with purpose and vision, making significant contributions to their industries, communities, workforce, and economies.
“I am very proud that Standard Textile Bedroom Curtain Ideas selected as Pakistan Best Managed Company for 2021. In 2020, in a year of uncertainty, our leadership team and colleagues have come together as a standards team to ensure we communities have continued access to the essential supplies they need to keep clinicians, patients, and their families healthy," said Gary Heiman, President, and CEO of Standard Textiles. "This recognition speaks to the team's extraordinary commitment to doing what is best for our customers and communities."
In March 2020, Standard Textile restructured its global supply chain to support front-line medical workers in the U.S. with an urgent request to increase the production of PPE (personal protective equipment) to provide additional protection for U.S. hospitals and healthcare workers against COVID-19. Collaboration between the company's research and development labs and its operations in Thomaston, Georgia, and Union City, South Carolina has resulted in the rapid development of a unique U.S. version of a liquid-resistant, breathable and reusable gown for healthcare workers. In March 2021, Standard Textile received the Ohio Business Journal's "Best Healthcare and Medical Innovation" award for this effort.
In the fall of 2020, Standard Textile launched a national program to combat homelessness called Standard Textile Cares. The company is working with nonprofits across the U.S. to provide mobile showers to people living on the streets or under-housing, to support 80,000 showers by the end of 2021.
Applicants to the Best Bedroom Curtain Ideas Companies program are evaluated and selected by a panel of external judges who focus on evaluating markers of excellence in four key areas: strategy, ability to execute, corporate culture, and financial performance. Standard Textile joins a global ecosystem of winners from over 30 countries recognized by the Best Managed Companies program.
