I am an Assistant Professor in Health Policy and Management in the School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley.  

My research combines approaches from health economics, health policy, and health services research to better understand how vulnerable patients access and experience healthcare, particularly through their relationships with providers. In much of my ongoing work, I use large Medicaid administrative claims databases (MAX, TAF, and others) to explore how Medicaid enrollees utilize healthcare services in response to policy changes and their relationships with their providers.
