Rebecca Copenhaver is a Professor of Philosophy at Washington University in St. Louis.
Her research interests are in modern philosophy, Thomas Reid, and philosophy of mind, particularly perception and memory.

She is currently writing a book on Thomas Reid’s theory of perception, with a particular emphasis on acquired perception (perceptual learning).
She is the Secretary-Treasurer of the Pacific Division of the American Philosophical Association.
She is co-author with Brian P. Copenhaver of From Kant to Croce: Modern Philosophy in Italy, 1800 – 1950 (University of Toronto Press, 2012).
She is co-editor with Christopher Shields, of the six-volume History of the Philosophy of Mind.
She is co-editor with Christopher Shields and Mark Timmons, of the series Oxford Guides to Philosophy.
