Rebecca Copenhaver is a Professor of Philosophy at Washington University in St. Louis.
Her research interests are in modern philosophy, Thomas Reid, and philosophy of mind, particularly perception and memory.
Her article Reid on Language and the Culture of Mind is forthcoming the Australasian Journal of Philosophy. The Australasian Journal of Philosophy is available online at: http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/.
She is currently writing a book on Thomas Reid’s theory of perception, with a particular emphasis on acquired perception (perceptual learning).
She is the Secretary-Treasurer of the Pacific Division of the American Philosophical Association.
She is co-author with Brian P. Copenhaver of From Kant to Croce: Modern Philosophy in Italy, 1800 – 1950 (University of Toronto Press, 2012).
She is co-editor with Christopher Shields, of the six-volume History of the Philosophy of Mind.
She is co-editor with Christopher Shields and Mark Timmons, of the series Oxford Guides to Philosophy.
Se is co-editor with Todd Buras, of Thomas Reid on Mind, Knowledge, and Value.
