About Beckie 

Beckie Striegler is a Texas REALTOR®, wife, mom, Nana, accidental travel writer, and unapologetic lover of Ireland.

Her love affair with Ireland began long before she ever set foot there, with a mother who dreamed of seeing the country someday and a daughter who grew up believing international travel was something other people did. Years later, an almost-too-good-to-be-true travel deal finally put Ireland within reach—and one trip became another, and another, until somewhere along the winding roads, ancient ruins, tiny villages, crowded pubs, and spectacular wrong turns, Ireland began to feel less like a place she visited and more like a place she belonged.

Her first book, Finding Home An Ocean Away: An Accidental Love Affair With Ireland, is part travel memoir, part love letter to Ireland, and part proof that some of life's best stories begin when the plan goes completely sideways.

When she isn't helping clients create their own Texas Hill Country legacy, Beckie can usually be found planning another trip to Ireland, spending time with her family, or trying to convince her husband, Gene, that whatever adventure she's dreaming up next is an entirely reasonable idea.

She lives in the Texas Hill Country with Gene and an assortment of animals, while happily maintaining that although she can't prove she's Irish, her soul seems pretty certain about it.
