Beauty Commission and your numbers: a privacy note
Effective 29 September 2026. Covers the Beauty Commission app on iPhone and iPad.
Your fees, your agency statements, your notes. They are yours, and we built the app so they stay that way. Here is the short version, answered the way you would probably ask it.
What do you never do with my data?
We never ask you to sign up or log in. No name, email or phone number is requested. We do not track what you tap, we do not show ads, and we do not add analytics or advertising tools from other companies. We never sell or share anything you enter, because it never reaches us in the first place.
Where do my jobs and agency lines actually live?
On your device. Every job, cost, note, account line, saved summary, bookmark and message draft sits in the app's private storage on your iPhone or iPad. Settings such as your currency and date style live there too. Delete the app and all of it goes with it. We keep no copy on any server of ours; we do not run one.
What happens when I ask for an AI summary or an AI letter?
Only if you switch it on. Both features ask for your agreement first, inside the screen where they live, and both can be turned off again on the Fine print page, linked at the foot of every screen. When you tap the button, the figures needed for that one request are sent to OpenAI (model gpt-4o-mini) so a reply can be written. For a summary that means monthly totals, your average commission and costs, how many payments are waiting, your agency balance with its advance and deduction totals, and the client names you typed. For a letter it means the numbers and names that will appear in that message. Your notes, your full history and anything that identifies you are not sent. OpenAI handles that request under its own policy: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
Without internet, or with the switches off, the same summary and letters are built on the phone from fixed rules, and nothing leaves at all.
What about payment reminders?
If you turn them on, your phone asks for permission and then schedules a local notification the day before an expected payment. The reminder is created and delivered by iOS on your device. No server is involved.
How do I clear every record?
The Fine print page has a Clear every record button that removes every job, line, summary, bookmark and draft at once. Uninstalling the app removes the same data together with your settings. Since nothing is stored anywhere else, there is nothing more for us to delete.
Is Beauty Commission made for children?
No. Beauty Commission is made for working adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and the app does not collect personal information from anyone.
Will this note change?
It might, if the app changes. Any new version will be posted with a new effective date at the top of this page.
